What is a Car Wrap?

A vehicle or car wrap refers to the process of covering up part(s) or the entire surface of a vehicle or fleet of vehicles using Vinyl. Vehicle wraps can range from color changes (wrapping the entire car in a solid color that completely covers the original paint job) to digitally printed full-color designs printed on vinyl material using large-capacity printers.

The best thing about our car wraps is that they also protect your car’s paint from minor scratches, dirt, and debris. They can also be reversed without any damage to your vehicle’s original paint.

At Armour Wraps, we do not wrap cheap older cars, classics, cars that come in some colors and some objects. We believe that all our clients should get value of their money and we are dedicated to giving people high quality finishes. If this is not possible, we cannot accept a request.

Can a Car Wrap be a DIY Project?

Not unless you want a shoddy job, absolutely not. Installing a vehicle wrap is a complex process that requires skill and attention to detail and is best left to professionals.

Is it Possible to Wash or Polish a Car with a Wrap on it?

Yes, there are several car washes that are suitable for washing cars that have been wrapped. This include; handwashing using a soft sponge and warm water or using a touch less carwash. You can also use a high pressure car wash provided that you ensure that the control valve is held at least 12 inches away from the car.

However, it is highly unadvisable to wash a using a fully mechanical soft cloth car wash. Waxing is not really necessary but if you want to, it is advisable to use spray on wax instead of solid waxes. Do not wax matte and satin wraps.

Polishing is neither recommended nor required.

What is better; repainting a Car or Wrapping it?

Many people think wrapping or painting is part of the same process. This is not true. Wrapping and painting are two different things that require completely different processes. While color change wraps are often used as a cheaper and more flexible alternative to car paints, repainting is more expensive and less temporary. However, there are unique situations where a car may require a complete repaint job.
